Tamara (Tam) Mackroy

Dedicated Servanthood

Dr. Tamara Mackroy's life is a testimony of God's redeeming grace, unwavering faithfulness, and unmerited favor. Every opportunity entrusted to her, every door that has opened, and every life she has been blessed to impact reflects God's hand upon her life. She believes that true leadership begins with servanthood and that every assignment, whether in ministry, business, nonprofit leadership, or executive governance, is ultimately an opportunity to glorify God by serving others with excellence.

Her journey has not been without adversity. Having overcome addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and brokenness, Dr. Mackroy understands firsthand the transformative power of God's love and restoration. Rather than allowing her past to define her future, she embraced God's calling and now dedicates her life to helping others discover healing, purpose, and hope. What was once her greatest struggle has become the foundation of her ministry and life's work.

Whether preaching the Gospel, leading organizations, mentoring women in recovery, speaking before international audiences, or strengthening governance within complex organizations, her purpose remains unchanged: to glorify God by serving people with integrity, compassion, wisdom, and excellence.

Tam's Favor is more than the name of her organization. It is the testimony of her life.

With the favor of God, nothing is impossible.

Community Leader

Dr. Mackroy believes leadership is measured by the lives we influence and the communities we strengthen. Throughout her career, she has intentionally invested her time, gifts, and expertise into organizations committed to advancing behavioral health, maternal mental health, disability inclusion, recovery, leadership development, and community transformation.

As Founder and President of Maternal Matters Favored, she leads a mission dedicated to restoring hope for mothers and families affected by maternal mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and related life challenges. Through advocacy, trauma informed programming, counseling, education, and strategic partnerships, she works to eliminate barriers to care while empowering women to heal, thrive, and fulfill their God given purpose.

Her servant leadership extends through board service, professional associations, advisory councils, civic engagement, and faith based ministry. Whether advocating for policy change, strengthening nonprofit governance, mentoring emerging leaders, or collaborating with community partners, Dr. Mackroy approaches every opportunity with the same conviction: meaningful transformation happens when compassion is matched with action.

For Dr. Mackroy, community leadership is not a role. It is a lifelong calling.
